Colin Alexander
Black Belt Mr Alexander began his training with the British Kenpo Karate Union (“BKKU”) in 1988. Mr Alexander trained for a number of years and then due to work commitments was unable to regularly train for some time,. Mr Alexander re-commenced his Kenpo training with the BKKU and attained his Black Belt in 2008. During this time Mr Alexander also began assisting his Instructor, Associate Master Kevin J Mills with the junior classes at Exeter. His training then took a further halt to bring up his two children as a single parent, whilst changing his career to working in education along side children with learning difficulties and he studied hard to gain a foundation degree for teaching assistants within his employment. Throughout this time Mr Alexander continued to assist Mr Mills with the Junior classes despite being unable to train regularly himself and finds it incredibly rewarding to see the children work so hard to gain their grades and continue their studies in the art of Kenpo. At present, Mr Alexander is working upon a visual syllabus for those children that find reading difficult and younger children who can use this as a guide to remember each of the moves they are working upon for their grade. Mr Alexander holds full coaching and liability insurance with enhanced CRB check status and is currently working towards his 1st Degree Black Belt.
